Hello, I'm Fred Smith, the proud owner of Kallos Studio, a premier multi-media studio with a focus on photography. Our core principles are creativity, attention to detail, quality, and customer satisfaction. I specialize in portraits, corporate headshots, lifestyle, family, maternity, events, and brand photography. In addition to photography, I also provide services including but not limited to graphic/ web design, videography, and animation. I am certified in Digital Photography, Videography, Video Editing, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe In Design,  Adobe Dream Weaver, Adobe Premiere Pro, and Adobe After Effects. I use Profoto gear exclusively, which is professional-grade equipment. 

 

I was born and raised in California and now living in Calgary, Alberta with my family. I first fell in love with photography in high school when I had the pleasure of taking a photography class that taught me the fundamentals of composition, shooting manually, and developing film in darkrooms.  Prior to moving to Canada, I had the honor of serving in the United States Marine Corps for 8 years where I had the opportunity to travel around the world, broaden my horizons and meet amazing people. I have been professionally doing photography since 2014 which allows me to express my love of the art and complexities of sculpting with light.
